Canyonlands, Utah

We did not make it all the way down the cliff by nightfall, and were forced to set a camp on this narrow ledge. It was best to sleep with a small stone under the hip to prevent any movement. This makes for especially calm, motionless nights. The photo was taken at sunrise on a face of Wingate Sandstone in Canyonlands, Utah.
